LOVE

August 22nd, 2008

As if I didn’t love my moleskin sketches books enough! A good friend pointed me in the direction of these beautiful laser etched moleskins which will only set you back around £18 ($36) from Bella Bellaco’s store on Etsy.

Or check out the full range. I can’t decide which one I love the most.

Love Cake

For this month’s issue of Monograph in Creative Review, Marian created a series called Love Stories, each piece using elaborate type and design dedicated to her family, friends, and neighbors. And cake.

The future of online retail?

January 29th, 2008

This new site HoneyShed boasts a new approach to online retail. It is however a little bit cheesy in places but with a better user interface I think this new video marketing works well and has potential in the Uk market. Some of the comments and sales techniques made me chuckle, but was I convinced to buy…erm…not yet.

Glass Lighting Designs

January 23rd, 2008

I stumbled across these beautiful light designs by a group of Italian designers called Andromeda. I was completely inspired by their new range Nastro which combines spirals of colourful glass intertwined into beautiful shapes. Each one appears to be an individual peace of art. Unfortunately there are no retailers in Scotland but one in London called Forza.

A couple of my favorites…

Goo-ology

January 16th, 2008

Pretty cool new viral campaign from Cadburys to follow the new tv ads they’ve been doing for the Cream Egg…

Personally I love the new campaign Cadbury’s have captured what the product is all about ‘the goo’ goodness inside the egg. This viral is fun and definitely on brand where you can watch some egg execution techniques as being melted by a hairdryer and squished by a bin-lid! Brilliant!

Bunny Blog

October 15th, 2007

Why is it that every time a great ad, the kind that everyone’s talking about for months or even years -like “Balls”-Sony Bravia, someone tries to take advantage of it in one way or another?! I am pretty sure that there are thousands of drawings and illustrations out there of plenty of things… bunnies, hearts, flowers, clocks, lamps, cars, etc, etc. But why do people always think that these great creations have to be a copy of someone else´s work? In my opinion Fallon, Passion Pictures and Sony Bravia´s ad creative are being used by someone who´s lucky enough to have an illustration similar to the ad of Sony, and they are trying to get their 10 minutes of fame by shouting that Fallon and Passion Pictures ripped off the idea. But I’ll let you make up your own mind.
