- Equator launches ‘Sam’s Scotland’ microsite.
Released: Glasgow Office 18.01.08
Scotland’s No 1 full service digital marketing agency, Equator, has recently launched a new golf microsite for Scottish tourism body VisitScotland.
Designed to provide golfers with a facility to plan and book a golf break without the usual stress, the site offers visitors a range of packages, including accommodation and rounds of golf on your chosen course at competitive rates. On top of this, additional information relating to the region, local attractions and the all-important 19th hole enhances the user experience.
Not only has Sam Torrance, VisitScotland’s golf ambassador, put his weight behind the campaign by providing a monthly update on what he’s been up to, as well as making recommendations on local attractions for various courses, but details of the site have been sent out to a number of Hollywood stars, such as Dougray Scott, Justin Timberlake and Samuel L Jackson, who love to make the pilgrimage to Scotland’s courses.
Speaking of the launch, Equator’s Managing Director, John McLeish, comments that: ‘This was a tremendous opportunity to have the chance of making a worthwhile contribution to Scottish tourism. The site offers golfers everything they could possibly want and is very informative. Our aim was simple – to create a site that made booking and planning a golf trip enjoyable and stress free. With great competitions like the Dunhill Links Championship coming up this year, we hope people will use the site to plan their trips to Scotland – after all, it is the Home of Golf.’
