Last night I had a bit of time on my hands - and I’ve been messing about with ‘designing’ themes for wordpress. I am not a designer so it can be an arduous process. But with a little bit of time and using the wordpress sandbox theme I’ve been able to hack a feww together quite quickly - they’re nothing special but they work (which is good).
The glorious pink and blue theme you see before you was hacked together with minimal difficulty and just the addition of one image. Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to go through the anatomy of a wordpress theme and show how to develop simple themes quickly purely by using the sandbox theme and by building a css sheet.
